Universal Pictures is set to air the next trailer to Furious 7 during the Super Bowl tonight, bringing fans ever closer the anticipated Fast and the Furious installment.
Furious 7 takes place after the event of Fast and the Furious 6, with a majority of the franchise’s main cast returning for another turn. After killing Owen Shaw in the previous Furious film, the crew returns to the United States with hopes of living normal lives. However, Shaw’s villainous brother, played by Jason Statham, rises to seek revenge on Dominic (Vin Diesel), Brian (Paul Walker) andย their friends and family for Owen’s murder.ย

Though series star Paul Walker passed away during the film’s production, Furious 7′s creators were able to createย a suitable ending for his character, Brian, that doesn’t involve death. The film also stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Luke Hobbs, Tyreeseย Gibson as Roman Pearce, and Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz.
So far, only one official trailer has been released. It mainly features a heist scene and basic plot points, so it’s likely that tonight’s Super Bowl spot will delve deeper into the story’s specifics. Check it out below.
