Game of Thrones Season 4 Arya

Speaking to MTV from the red carpet of the Game of Thrones Season 4 premiere, several actors from the series explained where their characters are and hinted at where they might be going in the show’s fourth season.Considering the unfortunate state of House Stark following the end of season 3, some of the most interesting comments came from the actors playing one of the few Starks still standing.”This year, she’s spiraling down a really dark path” said Maisie Williams of her character, Arya Stark, “that I feel like is influenced by the Hound, and it’s his fault.”Sandor “The Hound” Clegane is King Joffrey’s former bodyguard who went rogue during the Battle of the Blackwater. He took Arya captive when she snuck away from the Brotherhood without Banners and The Hound has forced her to travel with him since then.”Bran is chasing a supernatural calling,” said Issac Hempstead Wright, the actor who plays Bran Stark, “that’s dragging him somewhere and he doesn’t really know. With the help of Jojen, he’s basically following and understanding more and more how important and what use this power is to him.”In the last season, Bran was revealed to be a Warg, a rare person who can possess animals. Bran shows more power than any other Warg, capable of possessing other humans, which was previously unheard of. He travels with Hodor and the Reeds, hoping to find the three-eyed raven from his dreams somewhere beyond the wall, which is not a safe place. The man who started it all, George R.R. Martin, chimed in with his thoughts on the season.”They might have killed everybody,” said Martin. “They’ve been killing people that are still alive in the book, so I don’t trust those guys.”In Game of Thrones Seasson 4, encouraged by the Red Wedding slaughter in the Riverlands that wiped out many of their Stark nemeses, the Lannisters’ hold on the Iron Throne remains intactโ€ฆ but can they survive their own egos, as well as new and ongoing threats from the south, north and east? While an unbowed Stannis Baratheon continues to rebuild his army in Dragonstone, a more immediate danger comes from the south, as Oberyn Martell, the Lannister-loathing “Red Viper of Dorne,” arrives at King’s Landing to attend Joffrey’s wedding to Margaery Tyrell, and perhaps act on an ulterior agenda. In the north, a depleted Night’s Watch seems overmatched against the inexorable Wall advances of Mance Rayder’s army of wildlings, which in turn is being trailed by an even more formidable foe: the undead White Walkers. As if that weren’t enough, Daenerys Targaryen, accompanied by her menacing trio of dragons and army of Unsullied, is poised to liberate Meereen, the largest city in Slaver’s Bay, which could ultimately provide her with enough ships to sail to Westeros and reclaim the Iron Throne.Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres Sunday, April 6 on HBO.
