Disney XD will air the hour-long series finale of Gravity Falls on Monday, February 15 at 7 PM.
“The first thing to know is that the show isn’t being cancelled- it’s being finished. This is 100% my choice, and its something I decided on a very long time ago,” Hirsch wrote in November. “I always designed Gravity Falls to be a finite series about one epic summer- a series with a beginning, middle, and end. There are so many shows that go on endlessly until they lose their original spark, or mysteries that are cancelled before they ever get a chance to payoff.”
The first season of Gravity Falls aired on Disney Channel in June 2012 and then it moved to Disney XD in August 2014. Its midseason premiere, which aired in July, averaged 2.319 million viewers โ the biggest audience for a Disney XD regular series broadcast.
