In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, Jackman teased some of the top requests that fans gave during his recent call for Wolverine movie ideas, seemingly suggesting that they were a possibility for the sequel.
“[There were] Lots of calls for victor creed to come back,” Jackman said in reference to Wolverine’s main adversary, Sabretooth, who appeared in X-Men and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Jackman also teased that viewers might see Wolverine’s particular take on temper tantrums, the “berserker rage,” in the upcoming sequel.
“If you’re a fan of the comics, then you should know that the words ‘berserker rage’ came up a lot,” Jackman said. “If you know Wolverine, you’ll understand.”
The Beserker Rage is a popular trope from the Wolverine comic books, in which Logan gives into his animalistic bloodlust by mercilessly eviscerating his enemies. Fans got a tease of it in X2: X-Men United, but it would be great to really see Jackman’s Wolverine take the training wheels off.
