For those who were worried that the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 would transition the iconic role to another actor, you can now rest at ease

Producer Frank Marshall appeased those fears when he spoke to Variety‘s Brent Lang about the future after Indiana Jones 5, and Harrison Ford’s future involvement with the franchise.
“It’s all about the story. I think both in the Jason Bourne series and on Indiana Jones, we are not going to do the Bond thing. We think those characters are iconic, and those are the only actors who can play that.”
James Bond has been known for switching up the lead actor throughout its lifespan, but for Indiana Joens that actor will always be Harrison Ford. Even if they pass the torch at some point, it would follow a new lead character. The as yet untitled film will be a sequel to the less well received Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
