Remember when Michael Bay said that Transformers: Dark Of The Moon would be his last Transformers movie? Well, Bay ultimately changed his mind and decided to come back for a fourth Transformers movie, because he wanted to help get the next trilogy started off on the right foot.On MichaelBay.com, Bay said, “So I’m thinking that if I do this last one, we set it on a new footing, we change a lot of things — but we keep the history of the three in place. But we broaden it so it can be set up and be carried on — it would have a better chance for survival, I guess.”Bay also indicated to the LA Times that Transformers 4 would be his last Transformers film, as he was just setting up the franchise “for the next guy.”But could Bay be reconsidering leaving the franchise after Transformers: Age Of Extinction? In the latest issues of Entertainment Weekly, there is a very interesting quote from Michael Bay.In describing Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bay said, “Yeah, it’s the first of a new trilogy. I’m not necessarily sure that I’m doing [the others], but that’s what it’s meant for.”Bay seems to have softened his stance from preparing “for the next guy” to being “not necessarily sure that I’m doing [the others].” Could Bay be considering coming back for more Transformers movies after all?In the same article we previously quoted from MichaelBay.com, Bay did say, “When you have a franchise, it’s very hard to give it up.”
