While The LEGO Batman Movie might be engulfing most of the buzz lately, Warner Bros. and Lego do have another salvo in the franchise coming later next year in The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
The film is based on the popular Ninjago line of figures and playsets, and the studio is loading the film with fantastic voice talent. The film will feature Dave Franco as Lloyd (Now You See Me 2), Justin Theroux as Garmadon (The Leftovers), Fred Armisen as Cole (Portlandia), Abbi Jacobson as Nya (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Olivia Munn as Lloyd’s mom (X-Men: Apocalypse), Kumail Nanjiani as Jay (Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates), Michael Pena as Kai(Ant-Man), Zach Woods as Zane (Silicon Valley), and Jackie Chan as Master Wu (The Karate Kid, Rush Hour) (via Business Wire).

Speaking of Chan, someone should tell Tracy Morgan they found him.
“We are thrilled with the star-studded voice cast slated for ‘The LEGO Ninjago Movie.’ Our fans know and love Ninjago characters for their personalities and skills, so it’s only fitting that we assemble a diverse and talented cast to bring the world of Ninjago to life on the big screen.”
Corralling all of these unique personalities is Director Charlie Bean (Tron:Uprising), and Bean will be joined by producers Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Maryann Garger, and Roy Lee. Chris McKay, Seth Grahame-Smith, Jill Wilfert, and Keith Malone will be Executive Producing Ninjago.
The LEGO Ninjago Movie is slated to release on September 22nd, 2017.
