Earlier today, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that NBC is developing a “modern reboot” of Xena: Warrior Princess and that they want Lucy Lawless, 47, “to have both a role on screen and behind the scenes.”

Now the New Zealand actress has responded to the report via her official Twitter account.

— Lucy Lawless (@RealLucyLawless) July 20, 2015Before you dismiss The Hollywood Reporter’s report, keep in mind, they are incredibly-reliable and claim multiple sources provided them with information on this Xena reboot. As they say, where there is smoke there is Chakram. Also, THR stressed that the project is in the “extremely early development” stage, which could mean Lawless hasn’t even been contacted yet.
