According to Vudu, Wal-Mart’s UltraViolet streaming service that’s partnered with Flixster, Man of Steel Blu-Ray and digital copies will begin shipping to customers who pre-ordered them in November 2013.That’s about five months–roughly two months longer than it’s estimated Iron Man 3 will take to hit video after its record-setting May release.A confirmation e-mail for Blu-Ray preorders also promises the following:”The Man of Steel movie and exclusive bonus content (listed below) will show up in your account once your order has been processed.

That “An Inside Look” might be the 15-minute featurette that Wal-Mart attached to prints of the film that played today at 7 p.m. Made up of a combination of exclusive Wal-Mart-only content and a bunch of the electronic press kit interviews that have been circulating for a couple of weeks now, the mini-documentary was an odd choice to air before a theatrical screening of the film, but would be right at home as “home video special features.”What’s arguably more interesting is what that motion comic might be; if it’s the Man of Steel Prequel, including it on the DVD could be the first opportunity many fans have had to see the story. If it’s something else, it might be seen as an indicator that the Prequel isn’t as significant to potential sequels as we’d previously thought.Of course, it may be worth taking this with a grain of salt until Warner Bros. have set a formal release date. Those who pre-ordered Iron Man 3 via Wal-Mart’s in-store, Vudu-tied-in preorder program were originally told that the film would release in December.
