The format of the series sounds similar to the Avengers vs. X-Men tie-in series AVX: VS. Axis Revolutions will have several creators showing all of the action that Marvel just couldn’t fit into the main Axis series. The first issue has writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Ken Lashley digging into the opening battle of the war being waged by a united front of Avengers and X-Men against the Red Skull.

The first cover and official solicitation text follow. Of interest is that the cover seems to feature the new Captain America, whoever that may be, and that Magneto seems to have sided with the Red Skull, who now possesses the brain of Magneto’s old friend, Professor X.
