In one of the biggest announcements to come from Marvel comics so far this 2009 Comic-Con, the entertainment giant unveiled news that they have purchased the rights to Marvelman, a 1950’s comic book hero created by Mick Anglo.Anglo was especially excited by the partnership with Marvel, “”I did not think it would ever happen. It’s a wonderful thing to see my creation finally back.”Marvelman is really Micky Moran, who utters the word “kimota” to transform himself from a shy young reporter into the costumed hero with superhuman strength, flight and other abilities. The long-popular character has passed through several creative hands over the years, and also a name change, but will hit a very wide audience with this news from Marvel.
