While Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.has always tethered itself to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s feature films, this week’s episode is diving headfirst into Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In the latest installment, “One Door Closes,” the storyline flashes back to Winter Soldier‘s Washington, D.C. climax on the Helicarrier. As the episode will reveal, S.H.I.E.L.D.s’ Bobbi and Macky were aboard the same aircraft carrier that Captain America and the Winter Soldier were trading punches on. As the duo escape the crashing ship, they’ll run into Agent Robert Gonzales—the character who, later in the Marvel timeline, will rebuild S.H.I.E.L.D. from the tattered pieces that Winter Soldier leaves it in.
And back in the episode’s present, Skye will continue harnessing her new Inhuman powers.
