A new t-shirt debuted by Her Universe, the apparel company started by Star Wars voice actress Ashley Eckstein, who has voiced Ahsoka Tano in six seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and two seasons of Star Wars Rebels has confirmed an ambiguous part of the latter’s second season finale. The t-shirt, designed by showrunner Dave Filoni, confirms one major scene at the end of the episode. Huge SPOILERS ahead.

The shirt much more clearly depicts Ahsoka Tano, back turned, walking into the triangular Temple entrance. Some fans thought that the figure in the shadows was not Tano, but instead an Inquisitor introduced earlier in the episode whose death was also ambiguous.

Now, what this actually means is still up for debate. As Dave Filoni told fans and press at the early screening of the finale, he wants the viewer to interpret that walk-away scene as her either surviving the fight with Darth Vader and the explosion of the top of the temple, or as a symbolic gesture, her walking into the darkness.

“I think that right now, what’s important is, it’s really a moment for you as a fan, and for me to see more of what you’re made of. How strong is your faith? What do you believe? What did you see there in the final moments?” Filoni said.

So what do you think, fans? Is Ahsoka dead or alive? We won’t know for sure at least until Star Wars Rebels season 3 begins. For now, you can review the major game-changers of the season finale here.
