Peanuts: Your First Look at Charlie Brown and Snoopy From Next Year’s CG-Animated Movie

is coming back to the big screen, and Blue Sky Studios have shared the first two official images from the forthcoming movie.The images (seen above and below) seem to manage to balance the 3-D world that today’s computer-animated features demand with the simple, iconic look of the comic strips on which the film is based. It will be a while, obviously, before we know for sure whether that quality remains intact once the images are in motion, but for now…not as bad as many had feared.The last time Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts characters starred in a feature-length movie was 1980’s Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!).

 will open in the US on November 6th, 2015.
