Peter Jackson Teases Directing Doctor Who Episode

Either Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit director Peter Jackson is getting ready to direct an episode of Doctor Who, or he’s having way to much fun teasing fans about it.

Jackson released a video to Facebook that shows himself and his daughter discussing some emails from Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat. Seems Moffat want Jackson to come to Cardiff to film an episode of the series…and even send the Doctor himself to deliver the contract.

So is Jackson on board? Does the appearance of a Dalek in this video hint at their inclusion in Jackson’s episode?

We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, Doctor Who will finish its ninth series this Saturday, with the season finale “Hell Bent.” The episode airs at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
