Since 2014, the Japanese city of Yokohama has hosted an annual “Pikachu Invasion” festival featuring dozens of the popular Pokemon mascot marching throughout town. However, these Pikachu don’t just march in straight lines. A new video shows three snazzily dressed Pikachu dancing to a medley of current dance tunes.
The video, posted by the Twitter user “TSS_Killer,” shows three Pikachu dancing to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” and LFMAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”. For nearly two minutes, the Pikachu wiggle their arms, legs and ears in one of the most adorable dance routines you’ll ever watch online.

From an official live stream. I would’ve loved to see this one in person. They need to bring this to NA. pic.twitter.com/bT3Jj8wx4F

More than 1,000 Pikachu attended the Pikachu Invasion event, which took place from August 7th to August 14th. In addition to their dance routine, the Pikachu also participated in a hula dance show, a “stomp” show, and a super soaking splash show. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the Pikachu plan to take their show on the road anytime soon, so you’ll need to make travel plans to Yokahama next summer if you want to see them in action.
