In the weeks since the first trailer for Logan knocked everyone’s socks off, it’s become kind of an internet meme to apply Johnny Cash’s cover of the Nine Inch Nails song “Hurt,” which featured heavily in that trailer, to just about every trailer for a laugh.

Either oblivious of this, or perhaps to take advantage of any potential bit of added virality, the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales featured “Ain’t No Grave (Gonna Hold This Body Down)” — by Johnny Cash.

Included (as was “Hurt”) on his American Recordings series of albums, “Ain’t No Grave” was one of a number of haunting acoustic tunes lent even more gravity by the fact that they were released years after the death of the country music giant.

…And now, in all likelihood, it will turn into the next internet punchline because somebody at Disney didn’t understand how online fandom works. Funny how that works.

Johnny Depp returns to his iconic, Academy Award-nominated role of Captain Jack Sparrow, one of the most beloved characters in motion picture history, newly joined by Oscar-winner Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Skyfall), rising young stars Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner, British television’s Skins) and Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent, The Giver) and Golshifteh Farahani (The Patience Stone, Exodus: Gods and Kings). Rejoining the action are Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs and Stephen Graham as Scrum.
