Go, Go, Power Rangers! This year has been a busy one for the team of teenage superheroes. Lionsgate has been busy promoting their upcoming live-action reboot of the series, and fans of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have been all too happy to hear the studio’s updates. Earlier this year, Lionsgate teased fans with individual images of the team’s souped up Zords, but there has been little word on the colossal Megazord as a whole.
That is, until now. Fans have gotten another teaser image of the Megazord because of the film’s toy department. A photo of the Power Rangers‘ toy-sized Megazord has hit Instagram, and it has got fans raving. You can check out the photo in our gallery below!

“Go Go Power Rangers!” the caption writes. “The Interactive #PowerRangersMovie Megazord features expandable wings, battle sounds, dynamic LED effects & more! Includes all five 2″ Rangers. Stay tuned for pre-sale dates on rangernation.com!”
Looking at the Megazord, fans can clearly see that the reboot’s humanoid machine looks different from its television counterpart. The new Megazord looks more sleek than its clunkier predecessor, and its helmet looks undeniably streamlined. The weapon also sports a pair of bat-like wings and textured armor plating down its legs and forearms. The kneecaps also appear to be decorated with ornamental bracings, so it will be interesting to see how this Megazord comes to life on film. As expected, Lionsgate’s Power Rangers will combine its trim Zords into one epic set-up.
If you are not familiar with Power Rangers and its Megazord, then you should know the massive assault weapon is controlled by the superhero team. The rangers pilot the behemoth in tandem, and Lionsgate confirmed their big screen Zords were inspired by the original Dinozords. As such, fans are expecting the Megazord to feature dino-like aesthetics and incorporate the futuristic alien tech which transformed the rangers to begin with. In the film, the Megazord was created after the rangers attached their unique Zords in the following order: Tyrannosaurus, Pterodactyl, Mastodon, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger. There have been various incarnations of the Megazord form throughout the Power Rangers franchise, and each one has helped the squad take down their various villains.
