The designs for the Rangers, their Zords, and classic villain Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) have all sparked a lot of Internet reaction, with Twitter being the fastest and most prevalent venue for fans to give their typical, “Yay, nay, who cares?” range of opinion.

The latest Power Rangers movie reveal is the new version of Goldar, which we saw (in toy form) will be something akin to a bat-winged, monster mouthed, Oscar statue made of dripping gold. Needless to say, fans are reacting to the new design – and here is what they are saying.

The Savage

…You already know that the Internet is going to have jokes. So let’s just jump right into it, shall we?ย

The Offended

As always, the Internet expresses its outrage with ironically bad grammar.

The Literal

…Continuing the theme of humorously bad grammar, one fan attempts to express the thought a lot of us areย thinking: “They took the whole ‘Goldar’ thingย WAY tooย literally…”ย

The Impressed

Someย Power Rangersย are happy, asserting that this design makes more sense than the Ape bat in gold armor from the ’90s show. For those who feel that way:ย

The Gremlin

This rant hits the mark with a super-specific (yet somehow spot-on)ย Gremlins 2ย reference!ย

The Burned

For you action figure fansย who used to add some pyrotechnics to your playtime…
