Christmas is upon us, and the holiday rings in different traditions for different folks. Perhaps today finds you knee-deep in shredded wrapping paper, or maybe the day is filled with glasses of egg nog. For anime fans, the holiday can be a time to catch-up on the best shows from the winter season, but there’s something Dragon Ball fans always find their way back to. Back in 2006, Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken finally brought Santa Claus into contact with the Saiyan race thanks to a rather hilarious Christmas special.

Here at ComicBook.com, we wanted to give Dragon Ball fans a super throwback to the raunchy, NSFW reimagining of one of Son Goku’s hilarious holidays.
The special starts out with Goku and Goten as the Z-Fighters hear Santa stomping upon their roof. Of course, fans are a bit thrown off when Goku then brandishes a gun from his Christmas stocking, but that shock is nothing compared to the swear-riddled rant Santa goes on when he falls into the Saiyan’s home.
“Bandits, Goku! They stole my reindeer,” Santa tells the hero. The bloodied holiday figure looks worse for wear after facing the Little Drummer Boy, the Nutcracker, and Composite Santa Claus. When Goten innocently asks Goku about the final baddie, the elder says he doesn’t know about his powers but that Composite Santa freaks him “right the f**k out.”
Once the battle gets underway, Dragon Ball fans are left gasping for breath due to the waves of jokes packed into the Christmas special. When the Little Drummer Boy attacks the Saiyan pair, Goku begins powering up for a Spirit Bomb. His increase in power leads Goku to yell mindlessly for a minute of two, and Goten joins in, shouting, “Yelling really loud!” as he collects his ki. And, when the two finally release their pent-up energy, even Santa’s reindeer are left gobsmacked.
Sadly, Goten is taken out by one of the Nutcracker’s ‘Dragon Ball’ breaking moves, and Composite Santa is easy enough to kill with a well-time Kamehameha courtesy of Goku. However, Santa and the gang soon discover the attack on Christmas was orchestrated by Mrs. Claus – and it falls upon the Saiyans to stop her. You know, along with Rudolph as well; The red-nosed reindeer can apparently shoot lasers from his iconic snout.
By the end of the special, Mrs. Claus is turned into little more than a snowflake, and Santa has all but sworn off gift-giving in the anime world. “This is the last time I bring presents to Japan,” the mythical figure laments.

Really, the holly-jolly man should just be happy he didn’t run into Vegeta or Whis. Goku tells Goten he could beatdown any angel, but Dragon Ball lore says that not even the Saiyan could save Santa from Whis or Vados if they wanted to destroy Christmas.
