Capcom has been enjoyed great success in remastering their Resident Evil franchise for current consoles, and the company is keeping that lucrative train moving with their latest announcement.

The divisive Resident Evil 6, the popular Resident Evil 5, and the much loved Resident Evil 4 are all coming to PS4 and Xbox One this year, starting with Resident Evil 6 on March 29th. These look to be ports, however, not remasters, so while the textures and visuals overall might be a bit more high resolution than before, don’t expect major changes or improvements. The good news is that all the post-release DLC, in regards to Resident Evil 6 anyway, will be available in these new releases.
While I thoroughly enjoyed 5, I never completed 6. This will be the perfect opportunity to complete at least one part of my backlog.
Each game in the series will retail for $19.99, and will available first digitally, with physical releases coming later.
