The wargame set in the Halo universe will launch with a Battle for Reach 2 player starter box that will include the full rulebook, statistics and reference sheets for both forces. It also comes with 20 custom dice, 6 Halo Command Dice, Damage, Activation, and Cooldown tokens, and some Halo inspired scenery.
All that other ancillary stuff wouldn’t be worth anything if you didn’t have some units to fight with, so for the UNSC side you’ll get a 1000 point force, which will include 1 Officer, 1 Medic, 1 Radio Operator, 2 Snipers, 2 Spotters, 2 2-man HMG Teams, 2 2-man Missile Teams, 27 Troopers, 2 Warthogs (with Gatling, Gauss, and Rocket Weapons for each) and 1 Spartan.
Not to be left out, the Covenant force will receive 1 Elite Ultra, 2 Elite Minors, 3 Elite Majors, 6 Grunts (with fuel rods), 24 Grunt Minors, 3 Ghosts (with Grunt pilot) and 2 Hunters.
Granted, the set will retail for $91.66, but Spartan didn’t skimp on packing it to the gills.
The set is up for pre-order now, and will go on sale officially at Salute 2016. If you pre-order now you will also get a free Reach-era Elite Minor or UNSC Trooper miniature. Even if you can’t attend the show, if you pre-order this weekend you’ll still get one included in the starter set.
Halo: Ground Command is set to release this summer.
