While Arrow’s and The Flash’s inaugural crossover is still fresh on most viewers’ minds, Stephen Amell is already thinking of ways to make the follow-up even bigger.

In a recent interview with Collider, the actor behind Arrow and Oliver Queen discussed how the crossover delivered some of the strongest Arrow and The Flash episodes yet. And now that each series’ teams have worked out the logistic kinks in creating a crossover, Amell thinks that next season’s team-up will knock it out of the park (preferably with a boxing glove arrow).

Here’s what he had to say:

“I think that the cross-over was a new experience.  I thought that they were two of the best scripts that either show has ever put forward.  The logistical elements of it were something that we had to figure out, as we moved along, but I think that everybody did a great job, and that future cross-overs will be even bigger and better and smoother.”

And in Amell’s mind, a bigger and better crossover also includes a more integrated DC Universe at the CW. When asked if he’d like to see Arrow and The Flash’s worlds tie together more succinctly, Amell said that he’d love to, describing how one show brings out the best in the other with their contrasting tones, characters, and cast.

“I do hope that we get more opportunities to cross over,” he added. “And I know that we will.”

Arrow returns for its midseason premiere this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
