Dillane is best known for playing Tom Riddle, Jr. in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, while Carey is a relative newcomer, perhaps best known for her part in the film Into the Storm with The Walking Dead‘s Sarah Wayne Callies.
One of the series leads, a woman who was a guidance counselor prior to the breakdown of society, will play mother to these actors; Dillane will play her son, who battles a drug problem, while Carey is reportedly her ambitious daughter.
Shooting begins in Pennsylvania soon. No word yet on a premiere date.
