The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season will hit Blu-ray, Digital HD, and DVD on August 23, 2016, AMC and Anchor Bay announced Tuesday. After a cliffhanger of a season finale drove fans crazy this past weekend, they’ll be anxious to pore through the season looking for any extra clues they can.

They did not announce bonus content, though they did mention there will be a limited edition released as well as a standard edition, with more information “available soon.”
The Walking Dead season six ran sixteen episodes, and included several major moments, including Carl’s harrowing injury and the introduction of Negan – and both of those were just in the second half of the season. The Blu-ray edition is also promised to include uncensored versions of at least some episodes, especially the finale, which introduced Negan. In the comicbook the show is based on, Negan has quite the potty mouth, dropping F-bombs left and right, and the show’s official twitter account confirmed they filmed his scene that way for inclusion on the Blu-ray.
