Speaking with fans on Twitter earlier this week, she indicated that one of them was that her new project, set in the Wizarding World, isn’t a prequel — and another, that “The Horcrux wasn’t destroyed in [Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets] becuase Harry didn’t die.”

After years of living with some of the most active and vocal fans on the Internet, you’d think Rowling has heard them all. Occasionally, though, she’ll tweet out something new that changes the way fans view a character or the franchise. That’s likely part of the reason these same few questions keep coming back — as fans hope they can get a solid answer for something that’s bothering them.
…But maybe, before you ask, Google it real quick first.
