Tom Holland (In the Heart of the Sea) will make his Spider-Man debut in Captain America: Civil War and when you get your first glimpse don’t surprised if his take on the character has similarities to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions.

“The only difference I’m going to tell you is that I’m way younger, and at the moment, there’s going to be both things from Tobey [Maguire] and Andrew’s [Garfield] character that I’m going to steal,” Holland told Variety. “But there’s one very specific path that [director] Jon [Watts] and I agree on and we’d like to take the character down and explore his background.”
Holland was also asked if he’ll be suiting up in Spider-Man’s traditional blue-and-red costume, but he wouldn’t discuss such details, however, he did say it would be “special compared to the other adaptations.”

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man/Peter Parker will debut in Captain America: Civil War, which will arrive on May 6, 2016. He’ll then star in the Jon Watts-directed solo Spider-Man movie to be released on July 28, 2017.
