This Sunday, it’s all about football, beer, and the newest Captain America: Civil War Trailer. With May fast approaching, there are still several things that fans are clamoring for when it comes to the next installment of Captain America and the rest of the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new movie is chock full of new heroes, ethical quandaries, and clashing friends as one of Marvel’s biggest crossovers is brought to life. While the original Civil War revolved around the idea of the “Super Hero Registration Act”, the movie will follow suit albeit a tad differently with the Sokovia Accords and the heroes fighting over the fate of the Winter Soldier, aka Bucky Barnes.

We don’t have much idea as to what will be revealed in Sunday’s latest trailer but we have a number of things that we, and fans across the world, are dying to see. The Superbowl is the one of the biggest platforms for releasing trailers so it’s pretty much a certainty that the new trailer will hit the ground floor running with guns blazing. Here’s a list of the top 5 things we want to see revealed in the latest look into Captain America: Civil War.

Baron Zemo

Daniel Bruhl, of Inglorious Bastards fame, has somewhat flown under the radar among the giant cast of this latest Marvel Cinematic Universe installment. While the central conflict in Civil War is between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, Zemo promises to be one of the only true villains to be gracing the silver screen, alongside the villainous Crossbones who already had a role in the previous installment of Captain America, Winter Soldier. Bruhl has yet to appear in any trailers or marketing material for the movie, and we don’t exactly know how closely he’ll resemble his comic book counterpart in terms of appearance and demeanor, but he’s done a good job of staying out of the limelight so far. Bruhl has been on record saying that the mask of Zemo won’t be making an appearance in the movie, but perhaps he starts going down the road of one of Captain America’s oldest foes.

Baron Zemo, for the record, comes from a long line of Zemos, Nazi war profiteers who weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty during World War 2, fighting Captain America along the way. In the comics, Zemo started as an antagonist but then walked the line between hero and villain, leading a team of villains masquerading as heroes called the Thunderbolts. Who knows, maybe his appearance here in Civil War will start sowing the seeds for one of Marvel’s strangest teams to make an appearance in the Cinematic Universe.

More Crossbones

Debuting in Winter Soldier, Brock Rumlow was a Hydra agent masquerading as part of S.H.I.E.L.D. in an attempt to take out all of the threats against their organization. In a fight with the Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Rumlow was severely burned but will be returning to threaten the newly formed Avengers during Civil War. Behind the scenes photos have shown that Crossbones will be sporting an appearance similar to his comic book origins, in one of the most striking visuals in the film so far. We haven’t seen much of Brock yet, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he splashes onto the scene this Sunday.

Aside from his appearance, we’re excited to see Crossbones more simply because of actor Frank Grillo’s love of the character. You can tell that he’s been having a ball playing the role of villain within the MCU, taunting actor Chris Evans over Twitter and social media. It will be great to see that transition over to the big screen this May.

Giant-Man

Confirmed by a Lego Playset of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang will be helping out his buddies on the side of “Anti-Registration” not only in his diminutive persona, but he’ll also be growing quite large to start adding some much needed muscle to the ranks. The post-credit scene of Ant-Man promised that Paul Rudd will be joining Cap and Falcon in trying to keep Bucky out of harm’s way and putting an end to the government from setting regulations on the super powered folks in the world, himself included. While Rudd didn’t ever become Giant Man during his debut film, it’s something that fans have been clamoring for and will add a new dynamic to the character moving forward.

We won’t see Scott Lang helm his own movie until the upcoming sequel, “Ant-Man and The Wasp” with co-star Evangeline Lilly in 2018, so it will be great to have the character return among this giant cast.

T’Challa, King of Wakanda

While Black Panther was front and center in the previous trailer for Captain America: Civil War, we didn’t get to see the man behind the mask. T’Challa is the king of Wakanda, and I think we’d all like to get more hints at how much he’ll be appearing outside of the costume and what his stakes are within the movie itself. Coming from a long line of Black Panthers, T’Challa needs to get his own focus within the film to start building up to his own solo movie that is coming down the road in the Marvel Cinematic Universe stable. While his allegiance seems to be on the side of Tony Stark in the movie, it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be staying there for the entirety.

Clearly however, T’Challa has a beef with Bucky Barnes as you can see him kicking the Winter Soldier into some debris during the first trailer, so it would lead one to believe that he’d stick with Iron Man to arrest the mook but who knows? Let’s hope that this Sunday we continue to see the Black Panther making a splash with the MCU.

Spider-Man Already!

Not too much of a surprise with this one. Fans have been clamoring to see a fully costumed Spider-Man appear in Captain America: Civil War following the bombshell that Peter Parker would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper. To this day, we still know next to nothing of Peter Parker’s role in the film, which side he’ll be joining, or how exactly he’ll look, whether it be the traditional red and blue costume, the Iron Spider suit fashioned by Tony Stark from the comics, or a hodgepodge of costume ideas for the teen to have created on his own. Parker’s appearance here is setting the stage for his continued presence within the Avengers universe, promising to bring a younger Spider-Man back into the public eye.

In the comics, Spider-Man’s role in Civil War changed quite a bit during the crossover. Starting on Tony’s side, but eventually realizing the severity of his decision, Peter chose to join Captain America’s Anti-Registration team in order to combat the new law. Also, this storyline gave us one of the coolest Spider-Man scenes ever with Spidey cutting through a line of heroes and villains in amazing fashion. Of all the things we’re anticipating in the movie itself, Spider-Man’s appearance is at the top of the list.
