The newest issue of Entertainment Weekly will feature True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer on the cover. In typical True Blood fashion, the cover is a bit risqué, with Paquin posing nude as she and Moyer hang in a coffin.

True Blood is about to enter its seventh and final season. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the series takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. The series follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Alan Ball created the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
Paquin and Moyer are married in real life and in the season premiere Moyer directed a love scene between Sookie and Alcide, played by Joe Manganiello. In the issue of EW, he speak about the potentially awkward situation.
“There are moments where I’ll be watching on a monitor [and say], ‘Oh, Joe, just move your hand up towards Anna’s breast. Good. And can you move your right thumb just a little bit towards her nipple? Great.’ And then I’ll go, ‘Babe, babe, enjoy it.’ I’m certainly talking to her as ‘babe.’; Darling, go for it. Yeah, feel the nipple.’”
True Blood‘s final season will premiere June 22 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
