A month ago, we learned that Millie Bobby Brown, the breakout star of Netflix’s original series Stranger Things, landed a role in Legendary’s Godzilla: King of Monsters that is being helmed by Krampus director Michael Dougherty. Then, about a week ago, it was revealed that Friday Night Lights star Kyle Chandler will portray her father in the sequel to 2014 blockbuster that was directed by Gareth Edwards. And now, according to Variety, Farmiga has come on board to portray Chandler’s wife/Brown’s mother.
Yup. That’s right! Farmiga will go from mothering future-psycho Norman Bates to keeping a close, watchful eye over Eleven. Of course, I’m referring to Farmiga’s Emmy-nominated role as Norma Bates in A&E’s Bates Motel. You’ll also recognize Farmiga as ghost hunter Lorraine Warren from James Wan’s The Conjuring films.
