What If…Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Teamed Up With…

It’s functionally impossible to have every character from the Marvel Universe appear in your TV show or movie franchise — but everyone has those handful they’d really, really like to see.

That’s true of the animators who work on shows they love, too, apparently.

Earlier today, animation artist Thomas Perkins shared the following post to Facebook, along with a gallery of images we’ve placed below:

Since we know many of our readers have had problems with Facebook embeds in the past, the short version is that in the waning days of his employment on Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Perkins designed a number of images in the style of the show that featured guest stars who, for one reason or another, never made it to the series.

Presumably, these were just for his own enjoyment — but he decided to share them with the world and, since they’re awesome, we’re passing them along.

My favorite is ROM, although I am somewhat partial to Captain America being turned into Johnny Storm in what I can only assume is a wink and a nod to Chris Evans.
