While Stephen Lang, Dolph Lundgren, Edge, and Ron Perlman have all expressed interest in playing Cable (Nathan Christopher Charles Summers) in the Deadpool sequel, Mashable’s Jeff Sneider reports that Kyle Chandler’s name is being floated around for the role.

While most people would consider Chandler a very talented actor, some are having a hard time visualizing him as the powerful, time-traveling mutant with a bionic arm, white hair, and a messiah complex. Though, the biggest concern is with Chandler’s lack of size. He’s only 6’1″, and in the comics, Cable is enormous, standing 6’8″ and weighing 350 pounds.
To help us visualize what Chandler might look like as Cable, the digital artist Boss Logic has used his immense skills to whip up this cool new image. Check it out in the tweet below.

Chandler, 50, is best known for his roles in films like Super 8, Zero Dark Thirty, The Wolf of Wall Street and Carol, as well as starring in television shows such as the Netflix original series Bloodline and Friday Night Lights, which he won an Emmy in 2011 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that brought you all 3 Taken films comes the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics’ sexiest anti-hero! Starring God’s perfect idiot Ryan Reynolds and a bunch of other “actors,” DEADPOOL is a giddy slice of awesomeness packed with more twists than Deadpool’s enemies’ intestines and more action than prom night. Amazeballs!
