Blizzard announced late Thursday that the two faction specific choppers being built in the web reality series Azeroth Choppers are planned for distribution to all players. Still, the announcement is a bit vague, but reiterates that players will be able to vote at some point on the winner.”Make sure to rally your friends to vote,” it reads, “because the winning team’s Chopper will become a one-of-kind [sic.], free in-game mount. Your faction’s pride is on the line!””The fans are going to settle this once and for all,” said Blizzard’s Chris Metzen. That answers the question as to whether the mount will be a raid drop, quest reward, or craftable item, and now a look at week one.In episode one, The Quest Begins, Metzen showed plenty of confidence in Team Alliance’s chances of victory.”I don’t think there is any question that [we] will beat Team Horde,” he said.Team Horde leader Sam Didier disagreed, “Go Team Horde; the rest, Go Home.”Paul Jr., of Paul Jr. Designs, met with both teams to kick things off, and then rolled out what he had come up with thus far for the competition.”We are pumped and we are ready to go,” said Paul Jr.”This is a guy who pushes the boundaries and has a very unique vision to build the things he sees,” said Metzen.Sam, known as Warchief Samwise to players, was cautious but enthusiastic.”I was a little bit leery about having them bring the designs of Blizzard to a bike,” said Didier. “I was a little hesitant because I have been working on World of Warcraft now for 20 years, and my job is to make sure it looks like a Blizzard product.”We wanted to create something that is unlike anything you have ever seen,” said Paul Jr., and with that in mind, he moved on to the design ideas for the bikes. The direction chosen for the Alliance chopper is along the lines of the classic knight in shining armor motif while the Horde bike sports a brute force look.First on display was the Alliance chopper.”One of the things that I would do is to go with a natural metal feel,” said Paul Jr. of the Alliance bike. The frame of the chopper features triangular tread for the front and rear wheels. Other than that, only the gas tank, which looks like an elongated teardrop is in place. Everything, save the black treads and framing for the seat, is silver.”I think he knocked it out of the park,” said Metzen. “I don’t know how they have a hope.”Then it was on to the Team Horde bike.”Awesome,” said Didler upon seeing the Horde bike that features two triangular tank treads in the rear and a tractor tire up front. “He brought this to the table and I was like, ‘Right on, he is on the ball already’.””Paul revealed the bikes to us and I was hoping to see, that when the bike is coming at you, you know it is Horde,” said Horde team member Jason Hutchins.”To me, the Horde is power, might, they are brutal,” said Didler. “Spikes, skulls, think iron plates and chains, tusks, and bones.”Paul Jr. said that he envisions placing Garrosh Hellscream’s shoulder tusks over the tank treads, while the Alliance bike will have a more regal
