Earlier today, we (and every other movie site online) reported on a claim from Vulture that Zack Snyder would be directing a Star Wars movie based on Seven Samuari. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has shot down the rumor that Zack Snyder will direct a Star Wars movie.Snyder’s spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter, “While he is super flattered because he is a huge fan, Zack is not involved in any way with the new Star Wars. He is currently in post on his two films, Man of Steel and 300: Battle of Artemisia.”Just to be clear, the rep also clarified that it meant no episode 7, 8, or 9 or any type of spinoff or offshoot Star Wars movies. Meanwhile, the world still waits to learn who the director of Star Wars Episode 7 will be. We think it will be Matthew Vaughn with our longshot pick being Ron Howard.
