This year, a slew of full-on blockbusters hit theaters thanks to studios like Marvel and Warner Bros. On the comic book front, several adaptations like Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice introduced themselves to moviegoers all over the world. But, when it comes to IMDB, it was Suicide Squad who reigned supreme.

According to the website, Suicide Squad was the most popular movie of 2016 on IMDB. Here's what the ranking had to say about the supervillain flick:

"Anticipation was high for the first big-budget movie lead by supervillains. All the signs were good with a cast that included Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as the baseball bat-wielding troublemaker Harley Quinn.
