Of all of DC’s crossovers with the world of the Looney Tunes this month, probably none have been talked up quite as much as Batman/Elmer Fudd Special #1, which comes from writer Tom King and artist Lee Weeks.

King has spent the last few years stretching the boundaries of mainstream superhero comics with books like The Vision and Omega Men before settling in with Batman and doing things like giving him a history of suicidal depression and prompting a marriage proposal to Catwoman.
Now, he’s got the Dark Knight squaring off against Elmer Fudd, the world’s most determined-but-incompetent small game hunter in Looney Tunes, here a desperate man in a story that pits a dark underworld against him.
