Someone is Selling The Original Art for Lobo’s First Solo Appearance on eBay

One eBay seller is currently trying to offload a number of original art pages from Omega Men #37, which features the first-ever solo story for Lobo.

eBayer allfunstuff2003, who has a 99.8% positive feedback rating on the online auction site, has at least five pages from the issue available for $1,000 per page, and at least one more for $2,000.

Before Lobo was a household name to most DC fans, he was a minor villain in Omega Men, a title that mainstream comics audiences can probably say they…remember.

For a while, though, it was part of a cosmic renaissance at DC, with writer Keith Giffen, famous for his work on Legion of Super-Heroes and Justice League, at the helm.

It was Giffen who introduced Lobo to the title and then gradually grew him out as a character who could stand alone.

It was Giffen who penciled and inked the pages available from Omega Men #37.

In a world of increasingly-complex shared universes, Lobo is one of only a few characters — along with Booster Gold and maybe Wild Dog, now that Arrow has claimed him — created since Crisis on Infinite Earths who have stood the test of time and been consistent presences in the DC Universe.

The character, who for years had a movie in devleopment, has been rumored as a potential antagonist on the Supergirl TV series and has recently joined the Justice League of America in the comics.
