Gotham continues ot be one of the biggest success stories in the DC Comics television lineup, keeping up step with its cousins in The CW’s Arrowverse. After season 3 brought some iconic pieces of the Batman mythos together (and teasing even more exciting ones to come), fans have been eagerly anticipating Gotham season 4.

In a new PR announcement from Fox, we now know that Gotham season 4 will premeire on Thursday, September 21st, at 8pm EST. The show will now be partnered with Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane’s new Star Trek spoof, The Orville, which will immediately follow Gotham in the 9p EST slot. Gotham season 4 and The Orville were both originally supposed to air on September 28th, but have been bumped up a week earlier.

SYNOPSIS: Season Four of GOTHAM will witness the emergence of the criminal landscape for which Gotham City is best known, with JIM GORDON (Ben McKenzie) and HARVEY BULLOCK (Donal Logue) at the forefront of the fight against the most depraved and unhinged villains. While Gotham City fights for normalcy, a new hero will rise, as BRUCE WAYNE (David Mazouz) begins to assume responsibility for the city’s well-being.

GOTHAM is based upon the characters from DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon.
