When Danny Elfman came aboard the Justice League film, fans wondered how his distinct and iconic compositions would be paired with the first big screen adventure of DC Comics' greatest heroes.

Now Warner Bros. is offering fans a taste, posting the entirety of Elfman's "Hero's Theme" from the Justice League score to the official YouTube page. Click the 'play' button above to listen to it for yourself!

Much like many other aspects surrounding the production of Justice League, Elfman's inclusion on the film didn't come without some drama.

When frequent Zack Snyder collaborator Hans Zimmer announced his "retirement" from superhero movies after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Junkie XL got the job to score Justice League.

But after Snyder stepped down from directing duties to deal with a family tragedy, Joss Whedon replaced him to handle additional photography for the big budget superhero film. And shortly after Whedon came on, Warner Bros. replaced Junkie XL with Elfman.

"As my mentor Hans Zimmer told me — you haven't made it in Hollywood as a composer until you get replaced on a project," said the composer in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "So I guess [I] finally graduated this week. It pains me to leave the project, but a big thanks to Zack for asking me to part of his vision, and I wish Danny, Joss and Warner Bros all the best with Justice League."

Though it might have seemed like Elfman was brought on to contribute more music to Junkie XL's score, it's become more apparent that the original composer was fully replaced.

Elfman has created many iconic compositions over the course of his prolific career, including the theme song for The Simpsons, the music for The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the scores for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man.

He also has experience working with DC Comics characters as he crafted the score for Batman and Batman Returns, creating one of the most iconic theme songs in comic book movie history.

Elfman's score will be available for purchase November 10, a week before the film hits theaters.

Justice League premieres November 17.

Justice League is currently ranked 4.17 out of 5 and is the third most anticipated film among ComicBook.com users. Are you excited to see the League united? Make sure you leave a vote in our Anticipation Rankings below!
