Ben Affleck Pays Tribute To Batman’s Adam West

From one Batman to another, there are few who respect what Adam West did for the caped crusader more than Ben Affleck, who currently wears the cape and cowl as part of the DCEU.

West died today at the age of 88 from a battle with Leukemia, and Affleck took to social media to express his thoughts on the famed actor, and the impression he left on the DC icon.

“Adam West exemplified heroism. Kind, funny and an all around great guy. Thank you for showing us all how it’s done. @therealadamwest”

West’s Batman was much different from the ones that have come since, but he holds a special place in fan’s memories for what he brought to the character and the phenomenon that the show became. He will be missed.

As for Affleck, he will return to the role in the upcoming Justice League, which currently has a 4.16 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings. The official description can be found below.

Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Amber Heard (Mera), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).

The DCEU continues when Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
