Up next is the beloved and resilient Dick Grayson, who parlayed his role as Batman’s sidekick Robin into a solo career as Bludhaven’s defender Nightwing. In fitting with the rest of the line, the new statue is all in black and white, and the design is adapted from Jim Lee’s take on the character in the incredibly popular Batman storyline HUSH.
DC has released a special trailer for the new release, showing just how accurate the statue is to the source material. The character is modeled after his pose from the graphic novel cover of HUSH, where he can be seen twirling one of his eskrima sticks. The slickest part of the statue is the translucent effect applied to it, giving it a sense of movement just like on the cover.
Nightwing stands at about 7 inches tall and is limited to 5,000 pieces. You can pre-order Nightwing now for around $70, and he is expected to ship sometime in June of 2017.
DC Collectibles has been busy lately, as the company also showed off new statues from their Wonder Woman film line at NYCC. The set included three statues, and each one is stunning, depicting Diana on horseback, in her Amazonian gear, and in the midst of a battle with sword and shield alongside Steve Trevor.
Of course, if you want to stay in the Bat-verse, you could always grab a plush of Bat-Cow the super pet, because what is more delightful than a cow dressed up as Batman?
You are correct, nothing. Nothing is as delightful. Glad we’re on the same page.
