With a lack of new offerings, Don't Breathe stayed on top of the North American box office for the second week in a row. In its sophomore frame, Sony/Screen Gems/Studio 6's latest horror film scared up $15.7M for the 3-day weekend and will gross $19.4M by the time the four-day Labor Day weekend concludes. Don't Breathe now has a domestic total of $54.8M. That's one heck of a haul for a film that only cost $10M to produce.

Coming in second, Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad scooped up $10M for the three-day and is expected to have a $13.3M four-day total. It now has a domestic total of $300.8M, surpassing Man of Steel's $291M domestic box office run.

Meanwhile, Pete's Dragon and Kubo and the Two Strings battle for third and fourth with both having a $6.47M 3-day and a $8.9M 4-day; Sausage Party shuffled into fifth with a $5.3M 3-day cume and a $6.7M 4-day; Light Between Oceans swam into sixth with a $4.98M 3-day and a $6.3M 4-day; Bad Moms grabbed seventh with a $4.74M 3-day and a $5.87M 4-day; War Dogs shot into eighth with a $4.7M 3-day and a $5.9M 4-day; Hell or High Water sunk to ninth with a $4.5M 3-day and a $5.8M 4-day; and Mechanic: Resurrection clung to tenth with a $4.3M 3-day and a $5.2M 4-day.

A group of friends break into the house of a wealthy blind man, thinking they'll get away with the perfect heist. They're wrong.

The cast features Jane Levy (Suburgatory, 2013's Evil Dead) as Rocky, Dylan Minnette (Goosebumps, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) as Alex, Stephen Lang (Avatar, Terra Nova) as The Blind Man, and Daniel Zovatto (It Follows, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Money. It also includes Sergej Onopko as Trevor, Jane May Graves as Rebecca, Jon Donahue as Mathew, Katia Bokor as Ginger, Christian Zagia as Raul, and Emma Bercovici as Diddy.

Many of the same team behind 2013's Evil Dead are back, including director Fede Alvarez, writers Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, producers Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, and executive producers Nathan Kahane, Joe Drake, and J.R. Young. In addition, Fede Alvarez is serving as producer and Erin Westerman and Mathew Hart are executive producers.

Don't Breathe is now playing!
