Over on the Titans side of the DC Universe, Deathstroke has been on a mission to save his son Grant, and he’s adopted a new suit in the hopes of making that mission a reality.

That suit was front and center in today’s Deathstroke #19, where fans got a much better look at his new duds. The suit is all black aside from his trademark orange mask. The only other colors on it are the gold lines throughout it, which show all the energy being stored within.
Deathstroke captured both versions of Wally West to get a handle on their use of the speed force, even getting the New 52 version of West to side with him for a short time. That knowledge was combined with a device he was in possession of from Dr. Darwin Elias, who created essentially a speed force extractor. He did it to help Barry Allen control his powers, as it stored the excess energy in battery cells so Barry wouldn’t be overwhelmed. Taking what he learned from West he was able to modify the extractor to store the speed force from New 52 Wally into his suit, thus giving him super speed at West’s expense.

Now the Teen Titans are left with a powerless Wally while Deathstroke has all the abilities of a Flash. The reason he stole them in the first place was to save his long dead son Grant, who died after becoming The Ravager and taking on the Titans. Granted, they weren’t the reason he died (that was thanks to HIVE), but it didn’t keep him from blaming the Titans for his son’s death. Now he has the means to save his son but knowing Deathstroke that probably go as planned.
