But we have an exclusive featurette for you right here and now, taking a look at the villains Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) faced in her first season. The featurette shows how characters like Silver Banshee, Master Jailer, Livewire, Indigo and more looked on the show and how they look in the pages of DC Comics.
Of course, Red Tornado was a major challenge for Supergirl on the show, but is typically a hero in the comics; he’s had his issues, though, as the android has fought other heroes both on the printed page and in animated adaptations, too, so it’s not too far off to see him portrayed that way.
Take a look at the featurette from WB Home Entertainment above, and look for Supergirl: The Complete First Season on Blu-Ray/Digital HD combo for $54.97 or DVD for $49.99. The full season is also already available on Digital HD. Supergirl returns to television in the same timeslot of Mondays at 8pm this fall, but moves to The CW, sharing a network with The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. The full official description of the special features follows.
