A certain date-obsessed villain appears to be in the cards for Gotham.

Ever since Gotham premiered a few years ago, the show has consistently found a way to showcase some of the most popular, and most interesting villains from the Batman comics. Lately, the series has started shifting to the more lesser-known rogues, with the likes of Solomon Grundy and Professor Pyg set to appear this season.

With the opportunities available, the creative team behind Gotham is starting to explore all of the fan-favorite Batman villains, no matter how popular they may be. According to executive producer John Stephens, that includes the infamous Calendar Man.

Ahead of the Season Four premiere, ComicBook.com had a chance to talk with Stephens about what to expect from the show this year. Since Calendar Man is a favorite amongst those in our office, we had to ask Stephens if the character would be on the way at some point.

"Oh 100 percent," Stephens said of Calendar Man's potential appearance on the series. "There's been a lot of conversations about him. We got really close to using him this year, but we could not. But he's one of the ones who's on deck as saying, 'Well, we gotta use Julian Day.'"

That comment contains both good and bad news. On one hand, it's exciting to know that Calendar Man is definitely in the plans. However, on the other hand, it doesn't sound like he made the roster for this season.

New episodes of Gotham air on Fox Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
