WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR GOTHAM SEASON 3 FINALE!

The Tetch Virus has finally left Gotham, but so did one of the series’ fan-favorite characters – Leslie Thompkins.
After spending a lot of time trying to get back at Jim for killing her fiance, Lee hatched the perfect plot. She injected herself with the Tetch Virus, and then forced Jim into doing the very same thing. At one point during the finale, the infected versions of both characters were ready to hop on a train and leave Gotham for good.
But Harvey showed up, talked Jim out of his own head, and convinced him to become the cop he’d always been. In turn, Jim administered the antidote to both Lee and himself.
When Jim went to find Lee at the end of the episode, after most of the city had been cured, he entered her apartment. Instead of finding her, Jim found a letter with his name on it.
In the letter, Lee told Jim that Gotham needed him, in order to be the great city that it could be. In turn, he also needed the city. Unfortunately, she felt that no progress could be made for him if she was there. After saying that she hoped they would find each other down the road, Lee boarded a train.
Does this mean Leslie Thompkins – and actress Morena Baccarin – left Gotham once and for all?
It sure seems like it.
