Over on Reddit, photos of a new Funko toy are making their way around the DCEU fandom. The Pop! figure of Mera is an exclusive to Hot Topic, and it doesn’t feature the heroine in her usual green costume. Instead, Mera has ditched her earthy look for a fiery red body suit with gold detailing. The heroine’s red hair matches her new costume perfectly, and it looks like Mera’s headpiece is also missing from the get-up.

The photos have prompted fans to wonder whether Mera will don two costumes in Justice League, but those netizens may be disappointed. After all, it doesn’t seem likely the Aquaman character will slip into two different suits.

There’s no telling how much screentime Mera will get in Justice League, but it surely won’t be enough to justify the heroine donning two costumes. So far, fans have just seen the character wear her green number in movie trailers to-date, and Amber Heard has only publicly worn Mera’s original suit on the set of Aquaman as it wraps filming in Australia.

From a practical standpoint, it would be surprising for Mera to don more than one costume in Justice League. There’s not enough time to lead into such a quick-change, and the new suit would shift an unexpected amount of focus onto the heroine. However, there may be a reason behind the Hot Topic exclusive’s look.

If you are a fan of Aquaman, then you may find that this Mera figure looks familiar. The suit’s red coloring is a definite throwback to the costume Siren wears. The villain may be related to Mera, but her feelings towards Aquaman greatly differ from those of her sister.
