While the Animaniacs image is pretty standard fare for the long-defunct animated series, the Justice League Action blends A-list characters like Superman and Wonder Woman with heroes like Plastic Man, Green Arrow, and Firestorm — and even provides a peek at the ride belonging to Space Cabbie.
The Space Cabbie, who first appeared in 1954, drives a small space-worthy craft, which he refers to as his “Old Jalopy.” His space cab was capable of operation in both outer space as well as in terrestrial environments.
Very little is known about the Space Cabbie’s early life, including his true name. Born in the future and orphaned at a young age, he was taken in and raised by the militaristic rulers of a planet called Ghengkis VII. After proving himself competent as a pilot, he joined the military and was a standout fighter pilot in a short-but-bloody war. After being released from active service, he took a variety of odd jobs before settling in as a space cabbie — a job which would usually bring him back into the thick of crazy science-fiction hijinks.
