In the world of comics, there are few match-ups as coveted as Hulk vs Doomsday. The characters are known for the their unruly anger and overall love of carnage. Over the years, Marvel and DC Comics readers have gone back-and-forth over which character would win if they were pitted against one another. And, now, the guys over at ScrewAttack! have answered the question for us.

Unsurprisingly, Doomsday is the one who walks away from the fight intact.

If you are not familiar with Doomsday, then you should know the villainous beast is invulnerable, invincible, and wholly inhumane. The origins of Doomsday are horrifying as the creature was made by an alien scientist known as Bertron. The being turned an unknown child into a genetic experiment on Krypton while the planet was still a dangerous and barren wasteland. Berton, who wanted to make an ultimate being, made his victim rapidly evolve by means of torture.

Basically, Bertron would send the victim out into Krypton, let is die in horrific ways, and then clone its remains again and again until one of the experiments survived. And, when Doomsday was finally strong enough to live on Krypton, he was little more than hatred incarnate.

Doomsday just will not die. In the comics, the being has been ripped in half and cooked to a crisp, but he always revives. When he first made his way into the DC Comics universe, Doomsday did so in a bloody swatch that leveled cities and ended with Superman's death. Clearly, the character is a difficult one to beat.

It seems as if the Hulk would even lose a fight with Doomsday. While Marvel fans know Bruce Banner's alter-ego to be a bulky, green rage machine, his anger could not stop Doomsday even at its height. Not even Hulk in his Worldbreaker form could take on the DC Comics baddie. Eventually, Doomsday would pummel the Hulk to the point where the latter's healing factor stopped working, forcing the Hulk out of his green state.

Sadly, Bruce Banner in his human form does not stand a chance against Doomsday. If Superman cannot kill the beast, then the good doctor can only hope that Iron Man whisks him away from battle before Doomsday can - well - destroy him.

Still, Marvel fans shouldn't feel too bad for the Hulk. The immensely powerful character is still a major threat when it comes to the comics world. Just this year, Stan Lee confirmed that the raging beast could take down the Fantastic Four's The Thing, so that is one battle that Banner can feel confident about.

So, what do you think? Do you think that the Hulk would lose out to Doomsday? Let us know in the comments below!
