Suicide Squad is tracking for an opening weekend box office take of $125 million, and could surpass even that when it opens this August. That’s a significantly better number than even Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which opened to $94.3 million domestically in early August 2014. On the other hand, Deadpool, which opened to $132.4 million domestic with an R-rating earlier this year, could prove more of a box office challenge, even with Suicide Squad‘s PG-13 label.
Earlier today, Warner Bros. released a Suicide Squad trailer, featuring new footage of Katana. The film will be featured as part of Warner Bros.’ Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.
